I've been wanting to try a "shaped" card for quite sometime now. I love this idea and it really gets you thinking outside the box as you don't have a lot of room to work with!!! Had some fun with this one and used up some paper/rub ons that had been in my stash FOREVER!!! :)
Stay tuned - more to come! :)

Finally found some time to play today - boys are off to Kelowna to visit some family. Listening to the Canada/USA Olympic Gold Medal Game as I play at my desk!!! Go Canada GO!!!! I wanted to make a card that fit a few categories this week. First for the Drunken Stampers challenge where we had to use glitter and lace this week! Also, I wanted to finally participate in a Just Magnolia challenge, which was to make a birthday card. Since one of my good friends is celebrating a birthday this coming week - this one is being sent off tomorrow to HER!! :) Thanks for stopping by. We'll see what the rest of the afternoon has to offer - I'm not done playing yet!! :)

Just a quick card I whipped up this afternoon after reaching my quota for the day. My wrists were starting to hurt, so I figured I'd take a wee break and play for a bit. It felt soooo good to get the copics out again. It's been a LONG time!! :)
Image is from Little Loud Stamps and shared with me by my friend Donna (thanks Donna!). I love these little stamps. They're just soooo darn cute!!! Thanks for stopping by...more to come soon!! :)

Okay...I give up!!! I have crashed and burned in the Ravelympics!! :( Alas, I just cannot seem to turn a heel. I have tried a bizmillion different ways to Sunday and just can't seem to get it right. I think part of the problem might be that I'm trying to knit a difficult pattern and actually WATCH the olympics at the same time. Perhaps I'll attempt the socks again in the summer when I can sit outside and just concentrate!! :) All in all, I'm not that sad....I've been dying to get back to my copics anyway!!! :)

Okay...so the first picture just makes me happy!!! I love my copic markers and this is a color chart that I have to keep track of the colors I have. There are still a LOT of blank squares but I think I have a pretty good selection to start!! :) I'm looking forward to filling in all the blanks over time!!! The second picture is just to prove that I actually ripped out the sock that I had started and now have fresh yarn to commence my olympic project!! Stay tuned...I'll update as I progress!! :) Wish me luck - I'll bet the next 17 days are GONE before I know it!! :)
Happy crafting everyone!! :)

Okay...here it is!! I finally found a simple sock pattern using DPN (double pointed needles). So many patterns are knitting in the round these days!! :) Anyway, thank you to Kim Goddard for this fabulous sock pattern!! I can barely wait to get started!!! C'mon......opening ceremonies!! :)

Came across a blog tonight that had a funky little challenge going on. The blog is by the Yarn Harlot and the challenge is called 2010 Knitting Olympics!! I'm going to play along. I'll be working on some socks that I started a while ago an then lost a needle (5 needles to make these babies)!! I also lost the pattern, so now I am going to rip the sock out that I started, and go for it again!! To start and complete a PAIR within 17 days is definitely an Olympic challenge for me!!! You cast on your project during the opening ceremonies and then you have the 17 days to complete it before the flame is extinguished! Sounds like fun eh??? Pick up your knitting needles and play along. I'll post my socks when I'm done....wish me luck!! :)
