Non-Traditional Christmas Color Challenge!

Here's my take - yep, you guessed it ....using non-traditional colors on your project. This one was FUN!! :)

Black Friday Mini Crop....

Good morning everyone!! Work is slow due to the holiday in the States yesterday, so I thought I would take FULL advantage and do some scrapping this morning. I'm hanging with the girls at LP for their Black Friday Mini Crop. Come join us if you can. Vons got some great challenges and there are PRIZES too!!! :) I've already missed a Steal the RAK game as I was working on my project below!!! One of the challenges was to make this adorable little birdhouse ornament!! In real life, this thing is TINY!! It was painful futzing with the bling on the tops of the trees!!! Maybe Santa will bring me a decent pair of tweezers!! :) Anyway - here's my little project - hope you like it. I'll have more to come later...I'm sure! :)

So......whilst I was checking out the blog roll on my sidebar, I came upon Tanya's blog "Moment Captured". Now if you don't know Tanya...she is immensly talented and seeing that she had a new post, of COURSE I raced over to see what it was!!! I was flabbergasted to see that she had nominated me for the Kreative Blogger Award - thank you Tanya....How FUN...and I appreciate your kind words!!!
So, once the award has been accepted, the nominee has to do the following:
*Thank the sender for nominating you.
*Make sure you link to the person that nominated you.
*Copy the logo onto your blog.
*List 7 interesting things about yourself.
*Nominate 7 Kreative Bloggers.
*Post links to their blog.
*Leave a comment for each letting them know of their nomination.
Okay, so this is where I tell you 7 "interesting" things about me. Hmmmmm.......okay, here goes!
1. I don't like being "under" airplanes. I don't mind flying IN them...I just hate being UNDER them as they fly overhead.
2. I always eat cake in a bowl...... with milk on top.
3. I don't make left hand turns unless there is a light or a turning lane. Yes, that means I will go out of my way to make sure I don't have any left turns along my route.
4. I don't like using wooden toothpicks....just don't like how they feel on my teeth.
5. I only wear cotton. No itchy fabrics for me.
6. My favorite band is AC/DC!! (I know....gasp*)
7. I don't like to be touched under my chin - it tickles and drives me insane!!! :)
Okay - and here are the Kreative Bloggers I've nominated:
2. Peggy - Made By Me
4. Maggi - Just Add Glitter
Check out these crafty ladies!!! You WON'T be disappointed!! :)
Thanks again Tanya...that was FUN!! :)

Some simple tags I made this weekend. These were inspired by KWerner - love her stuff!! :)

Some Magnolia images I colored on the weekend. The burgundy and green ribbons are from the December Kit "Mistletoe & Berries" at Savvy n Sassy.

Here are some cards I made this weekend in a card class held at the Sunnybrae Retreat. We used terrific tape and glitter ritz/Stampin up glitter. It was a great class. These are much prettier in real life as unfortunately it is really hard to see the effect of the glitter online!!
TFL!!

Just a couple of quick cards I made to showcase the use of stickles for the SnS blog! The Peaceful Wishes card has glittered branches. It's so pretty in real life- too bad it doesn't show up so well in the picture. Anyway, I'm off to my annual christmas retreat tomorrow, so I hope to have a lot of crafty stuff to show you after the weekend!!!

Just wanted to share a couple of quick pictures of a shell scarf I just finished crocheting. I love crochet - it goes soooo fast. The scarf is so nice and warm. I actually just started another one - but am doing the skinny version. It's only got a couple of shells. I might make it a little longer too!! I'll be sure to share once I'm done!!! :)
