November Projects....

Here are a couple more goodies that I worked on using the November Ribbon kit at Savvy n Sassy. I just loved this ribbon kit...it went with a LOT of different papers. The layout was for my November Challenge, which is to scraplift your buddy and you can find the challenge in the forum under "Wrap It Up" if you want to come and play. The little card was made to showcase buttons, which is the Spotlight Special at Savvy n Sassy ...on until November 6th!! Grab them and one of the ribbon kits - you won't be disappointed!! :)

LP - Dare To Be Inspired - Day Two!!

Well, we've been going like mad dogs all day today!! Lots of fun challenges, games and make and takes!! This DT really rocks - not that the other DT's didn't....but this one is fabulous at coming up with NEW and exciting challenges that keep people interested!!! It's awesome!!! :) Anyway, here's a few things that I got done today. We have a full week to finish up all the projects, so there's still time to join us if you want to play!! :)
Challenge - Layout Bingo - for this challenge we had to look at a bingo card and pick 4 elements in a line to complete our layout, card, etc. I picked the fourth row down (and across) and had to include stickles, a halloween word, sewing (real or fake) and ribbon or trim of some sort. NO problem!! Here's my take - which also suffices for one of my DT items for the Savvy N Sassy November Ribbon Kit:

The next challenge was an Interview Challenge. We had to interview somebody and then complete a layout. I chose to interview Brayden right after hockey this morning. I think it will be fun to look back at this layout a few years from now.

The next challenge was a scraplift challenge. Now this is quite a common challenge in online crops but the twist was that you had to scraplift someone that had the same first initial as you!!
Here's my layout....it was fully cased from a layout by Laura-Lee.

From there I moved onto a FRIENDLY challenge - which required us to use a few specific items on our layouts and scrap about friends. For this one - we had to use the color red, some brads or eyelets, some bling and some ribbon or trim. This was a picture that was taken at our Annual Salmon Arm retreat and the theme this year was western with the title being "BUDS & SPUDS" There were tons of fun prizes and contests and we had such a blast - This is the fourth year in a row and hopefully we're still doing this for many years to come! :) What a HOOT!!!

Then I moved on to a little make and take. This one used one 12x12 sheet of paper to make the cute little mini album!! It went quite quickly actually - I was surprised. I inked and did some stitching on this one!! :)

I also had a chance to do up a few more items, but they will have to wait until the end of the month as they are project specific for my DT responsibilities!! :)
Thanks for stopping by - I hope you found something to inspire you!! :)

Dare to Be Inspired!!

Well, that's the name of the game this weekend over at LP!! Yep, it's ON!!! C'mon over and join the fun!! The DT is putting on a GREAT show (as usual) and the layouts and "spirits" are flying!!
Here's a couple layouts I've done so far. The first was an early bird sketch challenge.

The second layout was for a Color Challenge and the challenge was to use Fall Colors. I just love this Gypsy Line from Bo Bunny and new it would work perfectly. The layout was inspired by J. Sandvoss. I just love what she did with this line!! :) Anyway, if you have some time - stop by and have some fun!! We'll be going all weekend!! :)

October Challenge at The Stamp Shoppe....

Okay - so October's challenge at the Stamp Shoppe is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and so the blog challenge is to create a PINK card (the more pink the better).

Here's my take on it....the pic is a little dark but it has been raining here for DAYS...so alas, it's the best I can do!!
Oh...and in case you're interested, Heidi just announced a DT call for The Stamp Shoppe so if that's up your alley, be sure to enter!! :) You have until the 15th of November! Lots of time...!!
Also...just to give credit...this card was inspired by C. Rosa!! I just LOVE her work!! :)

Here's a couple of layouts I started on the weekend, both using the fabulous October Ribbons from Savvy N' Sassy!! :) The Autumn Spledor layout was inspired by Anna C. Now when I say inspired, I really mean lifted as it's fairly obvious that's what it is. I just loved a couple of the layouts she did with this line!! The other "Family....together" layout is done using the Creative Scrappers Sketch #71 that you will see if you scroll down a few posts. I just love these sketches, but I can see I am going to have to get them in sooner. This one was REALLY late!! :) Oh well, I still completed it, right?!

Ooops...almost forgot this week's sketch!! I'm slackin' I better get on it!! :)

Okay so as you may or may not know, Saturday, October 3rd was World Card Day....so hence I was buzy this weekend making a few cards! :) Actually, I spent the weekend with a bunch of WONDERFUL ladies that I only see once a year at an annual retreat that I attend in my hometown. So nice to be able to sleep in my own bed. Needless to say I'm pretty tired today, but I will have some more goodies later in the week, I just have to finish doing them up!!! Thanks for stopping by!! :)
