Totally Tilda and ANOTHER Sketch Saturday!!!

Good morning everyone....Well, this week's challenge over at Totally Tilda is to use glitter and sparkle.  Well, sadly...glitter and sparkle don't really show up online but I'll just mention that I have used glitter on her dress (it looks blue in the picture but its really purple glitter in real life) and I've also used bling on my title tag.
Also....you might have recognized the sketch from the post below...It's the sketch from Sketch Saturday this week.  I liked it so much I just had to make another card.  I just flipped it and used it again!! :)

Sweet Sketch Wednesday.....Challenge #68

I just love the sketches at Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  They are always just so fun to work with.  Here's my take on this week's sketch.  I am getting a head start on the Christmas cards this year.  This weekend, I'm heading out with the girls and we've rented a B&B for the weekend in Lake Country!! We're looking forward to a weekend of scrapping and visiting and of course eating...with perhaps a few glasses of wine thrown in for good measure!! :)    Can't wait to just kick back and create!! It's been far too long!!
Check back tomorrow as I will have another sketch and layout from Sketches: Creatively Yours to share with you all!

My recent FOs (Finished Objects!)

Okay - so first I finished these....
and then.....I started and finished this:

This was wool I purchased while on Hornby Island this summer.  I bought a skein for myself and my cousin bought one for her.  Then we bought the needles and I proceeded to knit her a scarf while on the island.  I finally just got around to knitting my own.  The colors were obtained naturally from hand dying using the most bizarre items.  My cousin's scarf was almost gold and it was dyed from polyspores (which is some kind of mossy type stuff found around the base of a tree).  My scarf was dyed using mushrooms.  It's almost a pinky color in real life...I just love it.  Anyway, the gal's blog is http://www.sheepthrillsyarn.blogspot.com/.  It's facinating to me to see how she does this.  I aspire to learn how to dye one day....and the more natural the better.  She mentioned you can do some pretty cool stuff with carrot tops, etc.  I can only imagine!! :)  Anyway, ....now that I've completed those two items....today I started on these:

I've definitely been bitten by the sock bug....and if you look closely - you will see some beads!!! I've always been a big fan of beads....so by combining the two of them.....its a PERFECT MATCH!!! I'll keep you posted on my progress! :)

Memories & More!!!

Just a few things I whipped up for Gina at Memories and More.  My products this month were Imaginisce Christmas stamps and papers, Just Rite floral stamps with the paper dolls collection from Crate paper and a few papers from Karen Foster.  The floral stamps were a little out of my comfort zone but I think the projects turned out okay.  I showcased a couple of them in my copic reveal post last Monday, but here are a few of the rest:
The card with the three snowflakes I shamelessly lifted in its entirety from a gal by the name of Shaela from Yellow Umbrella Designs.   She was a guest designer at the Christmas Card Challenge Blog.   I just thought her card was soooo super cute and it had been quite a while since I worked with my embossing powders so I thought I'd give it a try!!! :) I just love all the inspiration that you can find on the net these days!!   Oh...and on another note - I finished my socks...yes BOTH!!!!  I will have a picture up shortly! :)

Sketches: Creatively Yours

A while ago I posted that I was the guest designer over at Sketches: Creatively Yours this month.   Here's a couple of things I've been working on!!
The first sketch looked like this:
...and this was my take on it.

The second week's sketch looked like this:

....and this was my take on it:

Today's sketch was a card, made by my copic partner in crime at Savvy n Sassy,  Ann Seleshanko:

Here's my take on this one!!

I still have two more layouts to do until the end of the month - but now you're up to speed with the stuff I've done so far anyway!! :)  Lots of goodies yet to come!!

September Copic Reveal....

Here's some items I worked on for September's Copic reveal over at Savvy n Sassy!!   This month we used the Brick Wall Technique!    If you're interested, you can find the technique reveal here:  Brick Wall Technique.    My first two cards showcase this.    The next two cards are just some floral cards I made using Just Rite stamps given to me from Gina at Memories and More.  I have few more cards to do up for her - so I'll be sure to post those once I'm finished!!  Stay tuned! :)

Other stuff I'm working on....

That's right...its not always about the cards!! :)  Here's a little something else I'm working on:

This is a WIP (work in progress) but at least I have the second sock started.  The first one fits perfectly!! It looks a little odd because of the ribbing, but it really does fit well.  I'm really happy with how it turned out!! I am anxious to get the second sock done and off the needles....cuz I really want to make these next:
Just check out those beads!!! FABULOUS!! Stay tuned.....!!

Memories & More!!!

This card and a few others below are some of the sample cards I made up for Gina at Memories & More on the Westside in Kelowna.  If you're ever in the area - stop in and check it out.  She has all the new stuff in - including some beautiful papers from Best Creations and the new Bo Bunny Christmas Lines.   GORGEOUS!!!!  Make sure you stop in and tell them Lisa sent you!! :)

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge! - Challenge #99

Okay - yes, I realize it is only Friday - but hey....they had it up early - so I took full advantage!!! The challenge at Secret Crafter this week was to keep it "clean and simple".  Not too many embellishments - just clean and simple cards.  I think mine qualifies.  Actually most of my cards are clean and simple.  I don't like spending HOURS on christmas cards as we ALL know where they end up.  Sadly most of my friends/family are not crafters, so they don't realize the time, effort, expense, etc. that goes into a handmade card.  If they did ...I'm sure they'd keep them forever!!!  Alas, I digress.  Here's my card for this week's challenge!!  Definitely clean and SIMPLE! :)  Thanks for stopping by.....play along if you can!!

Christmas Card Challenge - Week #39

Hello again!! This week I found some time to play with the gals at Christmas Card Challenges.  The challenge this week was to use some "sparkle and shine" on your card.    I made this little card using a new stamp from Hero Arts.  I used stickles for the snow in the globe and my spica glitter pens to outline the snowflakes.  It's really hard to tell in the picture - but trust me....it sparkles in real life!! :)

Truly Scrumptious - Challenge #40 - Get Knotted!

Here's my take on this week's challenge over at Truly Scrumptious!  The challenge was to use this sketch:
I actually flipped the sketch - it just worked better with my image and then I attempted the bonus part of the challenge by tying a knot in my ribbon! :)  Hope you like my attempt at this one!!  Watch for more Christmas cards to come!!! I'm on a roll!!

TOOT!!!

Hey...check this out!!!

Sketches: Creatively Yours!!!

Tee hee!!
